Welcome Alan! Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to talk with me today.

Q: May I address you as Alan?
A: Yes.

Q: Do you consider yourself a Ghost Hunter or Paranormal Investigator?
A: I think probably both. I love a good ghost hunt as well as anybody else but I can get real serious when needed. When a client comes to me scared to go home or too frightened to sleep in certain rooms in their house then I will investigate to find causes so that I can help the client to understand what it is they have going on in their home.

Q: Tell us a little about yourself. Like why did you decide to become a Ghost Hunter or Paranormal Investigator?
A: I started about 12 years ago. My wife had been telling me that our home was haunted but I didn’t believe her. She woke me one night and made me go to the living room with her and sit on the couch in the dark. I thought she was really strange until an argument broke out in front of me. We were home alone or at least I thought we were alone. There was an argument in the same dark room as I was sitting. There was a man on my left and a woman on the right. I really couldn’t make out the words but the tone was argumentative. I turned on the lights to see what trickery my wife was up to but we were alone and the voices stopped when the lights came on. I turned off the lights and within a few minutes, the voices started up again. That got me to wondering about ghosts and started me on my quest.

Q: Do you investigate alone or do you have an investigation group that goes with you?
A: Never investigate alone. I do have a group of 6 to 10 men and women that like to lay about dirty old dark places looking for ghosts.

Q: What’s your groups name?
A: The Spirit Seekers

Q: What types of investigations do The Spirit Seekers group do and where have you investigated?
A: We do all kinds of investigations. We have been to private homes in upscale neighborhoods, we have investigated house trailers, and we have been to commercial properties, state facilities, state and federal parks, forts, and a very high profile case the Arkansas State Capitol.

Q: What is the scariest place The Spirit Seekers have investigated?
A: I think, the Old State House in Little Rock. There was a room that I could not force myself to go into. I never really figured out why.

Q: Any personal experiences you want to share.
A: I think that the spiritual house cleansings and the two exorcisms that I have been privileged to witness are high on my list of things I will never forget. They were so powerful and left me speechless.

Q: What is your favorite piece of paranormal equipment and why?
A: The video camera. I can get two types of data with the video camera, visual and audio. I can leave it running to monitor areas that I don’t have time to sit and watch. I can also turn it on and push it into rooms that I can’t force myself to go in like at the Old Statehouse. Yes, I did do that and caught a shadow person in the room.

Q: What methods do The Spirit Seekers use while conducting an investigation?
A: We go into all investigations with an open mind. We don’t ever take a case to prove or disprove a haunting. We listen to all stories and then decide on the best equipment to use and where to put it. We also use psychics. They are great to help point the way.

Q: If someone is having some type of paranormal experiences, and are in need of help, how may they contact you?
A: We have a web site at www.thespiritseekers.org where they can contact us via phone, text, or e-mail. A lot of our cases come from word of mouth.

Q: Any wise words for a person that would like to become a Ghost Hunter or Paranormal Investigator?
A: Never hunt alone, always obey the laws, and respect your clients. They are the ones having problems and the problems are very real to them.

Thank you very much Alan for taking the time out of your busy day to help us better understand what you and The Spirit Seekers do, and why.

Alan is an author as well and we have a scheduled time to talk about this part of his life soon. I can say that he is a very interesting author and the stories he writes about are fact based. They run from local companies, homes, cemeteries, to some of the investigations for which his team The Spirit Seekers have performed. A real treat for the paranormal enthusiast in us all.

Thank you again Alan it was great talking with you. Looking forward to our next paranormal segment!
